Songpull 2
Located in Parkersburg, WV. Directed by John Radcliff
If you would have asked me how it was going to go before hand, I would have told you that this was probably not going to be as good as the first songpull. The video camera we were going to use was broken two days before hand, and invitations didn't go out as soon as I would have liked. But other than having to use my digital camera as the recording device, everything turned out pretty good. There was a better than expected crowd. We had two more songwriters than the last time. And everyone seemed to have a great time and were asking when the next one would be. So hopefully we can keep this thing going and growing!
The theme, if you want to call it that, was to have each songwriter do a song they wanted to do, one that was requested on the spot by the crowd, and of course the songpull song. I thought it was cool at least for me to have a song requested. Also a little nervous that someone would request one that I hadn't played in a while. But it was cool. And I think the other songwriters liked it because it let them know that people really do listen to them and know their songs.
